Solution

Is there a simple solution for a hair transplant scar that would work for everyone?

Unfortunatley is it not as simple as that, various factors have to be taken into account along with the individual’s previous history, length and severity of the hair transplant scar and their expectations.

A high percentage of people who have a wide unsightly hair transplant scar, originally had their procedure carried out quite some time back. As time has gone on the methods and amount of scarring have improved significantly. However the bottom line remains, whether you have a wide or thin hair transplant scar, you still have a scar, which will prevent you from cutting your hair short, amongst other things.

Many people who have already undergone surgery and have a hair transplant scar are reluctant to under go any more surgery. So they either do nothing and keep their hair long to try to hide their hair transplant scar, or they use a temporary daily cover up, or lastly they have micro hair tattooing done to the scalp. For those that choose micro hair tattooing, they get the best of both worlds, a cover up which is permanent and not like a usual concealer that needs to be applied daily and they are able to cut their hair as short as they want as the scar is fully camouflaged.

Whatever option you decide to choose for your hair transplant scar, make sure you do your research thoroughly on the procedure itself and the company carrying out the treatment. And ask to see/speak to previous clients.
